Or desktops
To some extent when I walk into someone’s house, or see it via conference call I look at their desk surface and bookshelves and make assumptions about them.
I unfortunately read (listen on audible.com) about 80% non-fiction and have jettisoned many of the physical copies of books I’ve read over the years, so if you looked at my shelves you’d draw wrong conclusions.
Another thing I’ve started to realize is that when people present from their desktop during conference calls you can see what apps are loaded on their machine. Do they have a Anaconda and GitHub? Are their files neatly tucked into folders or are there a million xls and pdf docs saved to the desktop? Do they have the stock images or something from their family/vacations?
What other subtle judging do you do?
