I just re-found it when I was going back through my old writing and trying to consolidate it on either WordPress or Substack. I don’t use my website like an ecommerce platform, just a blog repository so I was thinking of transitioning.
I had a blog almost 10 years ago when I was working for Vendavo that I called PricingRambles, but I’m thinking about the name VerbosePricing in reference to the Verbose function in Python which outputs a log of the intermediate steps, or the chain of thought related to the calculations its running.
I hate losing track of interesting images, examples and writing be it mine or from other sources.
I was thinking about how search could be different in the future when images and audio files and modalities other than text are better indexed.
My problem is often not finding something relevant, its finding the exact thing I’m thinking of that I have previous familiarity with. I need MY car keys, not a generic set of keys.
I suppose search may eventually have the context awareness that you made a digital impression of some source material in the past, or the the meta data defines that it was retrieved from your hard drive or cloud storage account vs a public source.
Until the mental model of all associations in my head are translated to a graph and embedded in an expansive search tool I’m stuck with trying to find filing systems and archival methods more manually.
